Team JumboMax player Mike Dobbyn Wins the Long Drivers of America's 2011 Mesquite Shootout.
Wins First LDA Tour Title Since 2004.
Former world long drive champion Mike Dobbyn captured the first event on the 2011 Long Drivers of America (LDA) Tour, the Mesquite Shootout in Mesquite, Nev., on Sunday, March 6. Dobbyn, a California native and Las Vegas resident, bested Landon Gentry 396-383 in a head-to-head showdown at Mesquite Sports and Event Complex.
Dobbyn, who swung a Krank Rage 5-degree driver with a House of Forged HD Prototype shaft and JumboMax grip, earned $10,000 for the win. Read the full story.
